If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’m a super fan of home fitness. Don’t get me wrong, I’m one of those freaks who loves the gym, but the gym just isn’t convenient. Plus, I’ve learned that for me personally, I need to be following a program to see real results. Every time I try to do things “on my own” it never works out the way I want it too. For example, the pic below. The picture on the left was from the end of 80 Day Obsession and the picture on the right was taken after doing random fitness for the summer. Clearly, I’m more fit in the first picture. So, I’ve learned that home fitness programs are just something that has to be a part of my life for me to achieve the fitness goals I want. And I’m definitely okay with that! So, Why Choose a Home Fitness Program? A home fitness program, such as 100 Morning Meltdown or 80 Day Obsession, is like having a personal trainer in your own home. You get all the knowledge and intensity of having a trainer, but you can press pause if you need to take a breath. […]

Exercising at home is so much easier if you have a designated workout space. And I speak from some serious experience. For the past year, I had an extra person living in my house. Having even just one extra person significantly cut down on space to exercise at home. All of a sudden, the only space I had was in a small, cramped corner of my living room. It made doing my workouts at home much harder (and getting the motivation to work out is hard enough!). The house was so cramped at times that I bought a gym membership to do my home workouts in the conditioning room. Now, I’ll be honest and admit that I ended up loving doing home workouts at my gym but that’s beside the point. When my houseguest moved out, all of a sudden I had so much more space to exercise at home. And while I had learned to enjoy the gym atmosphere, I was so happy to have more workout flexibility. Plus, I now was able to create a workout space for myself that truly worked for me. Post contains Affiliate Links. See Disclosure for details. Opinions are my own. Why Having […]
It’s been a couple of years since I did, P90X, my very first home workout program. And it was that first program that completely changed my life. And I do mean completely. But first, the backstory! Post may contain affiliate links. See Disclosure for details. Opinions are my own. 3 years ago my life looked so different. I was over 100lbs heavier than I am now, I had two-year-old twins, my depression and anxiety weren’t being treated properly, and I was struggling to do just about anything. I was miserable and I felt trapped. Thankfully, I had friends who saw my struggles and suggested a solution. P90X. A friend had previously had great success losing weight (he lost 70lbs!) doing P90X. However, like many people, I thought that I wasn’t capable of success the way he was. I assumed he had better will power, better genetics and a host of other wrong ideas. I was full of excuses as to why P90X worked for everyone else but it wouldn’t for me. However, the day that the scale in my bathroom flashed 249lbs, I knew I had hit my rock bottom. I knew that if I went a pound over 250lbs, […]
