A 100-pound weight loss plus the amazing, healthy lifestyle that I have today didn’t just happen by luck. It’s a life I dreamt of, created, and manifested. I went from wishing for things in my life to get better to focusing on making my life better. I started taking my dreams seriously, and began manifesting!
You might have read my posts about changing how I think and act to improve my mindset and health. But the first and most important thing I did was fully believe in myself. In the past, I used to doubt if I could achieve my dreams. But I learned that doubting was like not trying. I had to stop doubting and start believing 100% if I wanted to change my life.
Believing in Myself
The moment I decided to trust in myself and my dream of achieving a large weight loss was a turning point in my life. Before this, self-doubt often took over my thinking, making it difficult to see what I was capable of achieving. I would constantly question my abilities and second-guess my decisions, which only held me back from reaching my full potential. But once I chose to push these doubts aside and believe in myself, it was as if I could suddenly see my dream life clearly. Suddenly, the possibilities for my life seemed limitless.
Believing in myself allowed me to take on challenges that were previously unimaginable (like running a half-marathon!). I began to approach these challenges with a “I can do it” attitude, rather than a fear of failure. Each small win fueled my belief in myself even further, creating a positive feedback loop. This wasn’t about being overconfident; it was about recognizing my potential to overcome any challenge that came my way.
This level of self-belief became the foundation for manifestation.
What is Manifestation?
Manifestation might sound like an overwhelming concept, but it’s about making your dreams come true through your thoughts and inspired actions. It starts with deeply visualizing your true desires. These are some of my daily manifestation techniques:
- Visualization: I spent time every day imagining myself living my dream life. I would visualize myself doing a workout well, running the distance, eating healthy, and would see myself happy and proud. I would even flex my arms and visualize my muscles growing!
- Affirmations: I also told myself positive thoughts every day to keep my spirits up and mindset moving forward. These little pep talks helped me stay focused.
- Taking Action: Dreams aren’t just about thinking; they’re about doing. I started doing little things every day that would help me move towards my dreams and goals.
Setting Clear Manifestations
It is important to know exactly what you want and the “why” behind your manifestation desires. This will help you stay focused on the goal of the manifestation. An important aspect of manifesting clear weight loss or health goals is to envision yourself enjoying healthier foods, exercising regularly, and feeling great about your progress. It’s important that these visions are detailed and vivid. Imagine how you will feel, the clothes you will wear, and the activities you will engage in. Don’t forget to:
- Writing it Down: I kept a journal where I wrote down all my goals and why they were important to me. This helped keep my dreams clear in my mind.
- Share Your Dream Manifestations: I told people in my life about my goals and how I planned to manifest them. I put my manifestations out into the Universe to begin to come into reality.
- Inspired Activity: Every day, I made sure to do something that helped me get closer to my manifestations. Whether it was learning something new, meeting new people, reading or listening to something new, or taking care of my health, every little bit helped move me closer to my dream of a healthy life and large weight loss.
Building the Right Manifesting Environment
Where you are and who spend your time with can affect your ability to achieve your manifestations, this is especially true for manifesting health and weight loss. Create an environment that supports your weight loss goals. This might involve stocking your kitchen with healthy food, joining a gym or fitness group, or even participating in healthy cooking classes. Surround yourself with people who support your health goals and will encourage you to stay focused.
Handling Challenges
It’s a fact of life that problems and challenges will always pop up; from unexpected setbacks, to personal doubts, or external criticisms, they’ll always be there. Remember, the path to weight loss success isn’t a straight line and will include challenges. When faced with setbacks, use them as learning opportunities to strengthen your belief in your manifesting powers. Maybe a diet approach isn’t working for you, or perhaps a certain type of exercise doesn’t suit your body. Use these insights to refine your approach and keep your journey aligned with your body’s needs.
- Staying Strong: Every time I faced a problem, I used it as a chance to prove how much I wanted my dreams. I stopped believing in “failure” and started believing in “let’s try something new/different next time”.
- Learning from Mistakes: Instead of viewing mistakes as failures, I learned to see them as invaluable lessons. Each misstep gave me insight into what didn’t work and pushed me to find new methods and strategies that might be more effective.
Positive Affirmations
Create affirmations that reinforce your weight loss goals. These should focus on positivity and the new habits you’re forming. For instance, affirmations like “I love nourishing my body with healthy foods” or “Every day, I enjoy being active because it makes me feel stronger” help to cement the belief in your capabilities and the positive outcomes of your actions.
Embodying My Dream Self
One of the most important steps in my weight loss manifestation journey was to “live as if.” This meant acting as though my dreams had already come true, embracing the habits and lifestyle of the best version of myself even before fully becoming that person.
For instance, the ideal version of me embraced daily meditation, kept a regular journal, and enjoyed morning yoga sessions. She preferred spending more time walking outdoors rather than sitting indoors. Inspired by this vision, I didn’t wait to become her someday in the future; I started adopting these habits right away.
Regularly ask yourself, “What would the dream version of myself think about this situation?” Let your response guide your decisions and move you closer to your manifestation goals. Over time, the dream version of yourself will begin to emerge in reality. Through these actions, you not only visualize your future but you actively start stepping into the shoes of the person you aspire to be.
Vibrant Vision Boarding
Creating a vision board is an incredibly powerful tool in the manifestation process, especially for health and weight loss. It serves as a daily reminder of your dreams and helps maintain focus on your goals. I use digital tools like Pinterest and Canva to craft my vision boards because they offer endless creative possibilities and easy accessibility.
When you start building your vision board, aim for specificity. This is your dream collage—every image, affirmation, keyword, and quote should resonate deeply with your health and weight loss goals and the life you want to lead. These elements are not just decorations; they are declarations! Include pictures that capture the true essence of your desires, whether it’s images embodying health, professional success, or general happiness. Pair these visuals with affirmations that empower you, keywords that anchor your dreams, and quotes that inspire you to level up.
After you have created your board, it’s important to place it where you’ll see it often. This constant visual reminder reinforces your daily commitment to your manifestations and keeps the energy of your desires alive. For instance, I use the Pinterest widget on my iPhone and have it set to my vision board. This way, every time I pick up my phone, I see images and words that inspire my manifestations and goals. It’s a powerful motivational tool that keeps me aligned with my intentions throughout the day, every day.
Gratitude Journaling For Manifesting Weight Loss
Gratitude journaling has been a game changer in my life, particularly in my weight loss journey. It changed how I see the world and how I view myself. When I began to focus on all the abundance I already had in my life, I noticed an interesting phenomenon: the more grateful I was, the more blessings— including progress in my weight loss—seemed to flow my way.
Each day, I dedicated some time to write in my journal, concentrating on different aspects of my life that I was thankful for. This included being grateful for my body’s ability to move, the availability of nutritious food that fueled my body, and the capability to engage in physical activities that I actually enjoyed. By acknowledging the good things I already had, I created a deeper appreciation for them and shifted my focus from lack/scarcity to abundance.
I would also thank myself for the efforts I put into my weight loss journey, no matter how small. Recognizing and celebrating my hard work reinforced my self-respect and pride in my progress. This was especially helpful during challenging times when I felt stuck or when progress didn’t come as quickly as I wanted. Celebrating myself, no matter how big or small, boosted my motivation and dedication to my manifestations and goals.

By setting clear goals, using affirmations, visualizing success, and creating a supportive environment, you set the stage for sustainable weight loss success.
