80 Day Obsession Review & Results

80 Day Obsession promises to make you obsessed with the process. And I have to admit, I am obsessed! And not just with the process, but with the results as well. The program is created by super-trainer Autumn Calabrese, and it presents just the right workouts in just the right order. This process is guaranteed to target your abs and glutes for great results with minimal equipment.
When I first started the program I didn’t think it was possible for me to be in better shape than I was already in. I had just finished training and running a half-marathon and was arguably in the best shape of my life. While I had lost a lot of weight using P90X in the past, I just didn’t believe at the time that home workouts could take my fitness to that next level. But within two weeks of doing the program, I was seeing results and was officially obsessed.
Program Review
80 Day Obsession promises to sculpt a lean and strong core with a firm rear. The program focuses on strength and proper lifting techniques, as well as, intense cardio. Because the 80 workouts are filmed in real-time, you literally see Autumn and the cast struggle through every moment of the 80 days with you. It’s a little difficult to explain, but because of how the workouts are filmed you truly feel like they are there doing the workout with you. Plus, Autumn and the cast are hilarious. I laughed out loud at least once a workout.
But do be aware that these workouts are not for complete beginners. Anyone wanting to do 80 Day Obsession should start with 21 Day Fix or something similar.
The Power of HIIT
Even though the program has a lot of traditional weight-lifting moves, it still incorporates High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) into every workout. This process gets your heart rate up, your metabolism going and has you torching calories both during and after the workout. I’m not kidding, often times my activity tracker would show a high calorie burn up to 45 minutes after my workout. The program has 80 individual workouts which
Required Equipment
80 Day Obsession does require minimal equipment to be able to do the program properly. The workouts use a combination of:
- light, medium and heavy weights
- light, medium, and heavy resistance bands
- yoga/exercise mat
- strength sliders
This equipments specifically targets every angle of your arms, abs, butt, glutes, and legs. As a result, you tighten and tone from head to toe. Worried about “bulking up”? Don’t worry about that for a second! Autumn teaches how to lift heavy for an even-toned look all around. Zero bulking! Other than this basic equipment, all you need is wifi and a place to stream or download your workout because of Beachbody on Demand! Although if you really like DVD’s you can order those but trust me, it’s way easier and convenient to stream the workouts. I’ve done my home workouts at the gym, a friend’s house, outside, and in pretty much every room of my house. You are also able to download all of the program materials right to your computer, tablet or phone.

My Results!
As I mentioned earlier, I started the program 2 weeks after running my half-marathon. And at the time, I thought I was the most fit I could ever be. Which is hilarious in hindsight. But again, I just couldn’t imagine home workouts giving me real muscle. I had always associated home workouts as being more cardio-based. But was I ever wrong! Prior to starting the program, I was running for endless hours every week. And it took me several months to see big results. And to be honest, I just didn’t have that kind of time anymore. I wanted the results of running (or better!) in a much shorter period of time. That’s why I chose 80 Day Obsession for myself.
I don’t weigh myself so I don’t have those numbers but in just 80 days I went from a size 6 to a size 2/4! I’ve never had results quite like that in my life. And not only did lose some serious inches, I also gained real muscle. Check out my gains!
Now, I’ll be honest, I didn’t follow the meal plan very carefully so I know my results could have been even better but I’m still super pleased. I plan on doing the program again but following the nutrition plan more closely.
Will You Lose Weight On 80 Day Obsession?
Absolutely! You can definitely expect to lose inches and pounds if you complete the full program. All results are different, of course, but so far no one has done the program and stayed the same. You can also expect to get better sleep, have more energy during the day and just feel great overall! Just remember that results are based on effort, so if you’re not doing the workouts or eating healthy you won’t have results like mine. Ready to give it a try?

Supplements
If you want to enhance your performance and/or results, I highly recommend supplementation. I personally use Shakeology and Energize regularly.
